The
Sherry-Brener Guitar Museum contains some of the most fascinating
instruments ever created. Several of these classical guitars were played by Andrés
Segovia, Julian Bream, Christopher Parkening, Sabicas, Eliot Fisk,
Michael Lorimer, Douglas Niedt, and other performers of international
reputation.
All
instuments are currently at the Sherry-Brener museum location in
Chicago. We encourage anyone interested in submiting information
pertinent to the guitars displayed or about the makers. The Sherry-Brener
Guitar Museum is open to the addition of instruments that might
be of historical value.
Antigua
Casa Sherry-Brener Ltd. stocks high quality classical guitars, lutes, violins,
violas, cellos, wind instruments, and exotic instruments from around
the world. Accesories for performing artists and enthusiasts, music
literature and videos are always available.
In this Gallery are priceless images of guitarists that visited
the old house of Sherry-Brener. Many of these guitarists were the
premier and lasting spirit that, in many ways, led the guitar to
where it is today.
Most
outstanding Andres Segovia and his dear friend Vladimir Bobri, publisher
of Guitar Review, the magazine that gave the guitar its distinguished
precence in the musical world.
